Parents Speak Up
Relations and Support

The Parents Speak Up National Campaign is a national public education campaign developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to encourage parents to talk to their children early and often about waiting to have sex.

The www.4parents.gov website is part of the Parents Speak Up National Campaign and is intended to help parents face the challenges of the pre-teen and young-teen years.

Our Partners

To better serve our community, the Hispanic Outreach Center has formed a Hispanic Abstinence Coalition (HAC) in each of seven targeted large cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Antonio, Phoenix, and in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Hispanic Abstinence Coalition (HAC) is a local group of community-based organizations that raises awareness about and supports the Parents Speak Up National Campaign, while providing parents the necessary culturally sensitive tools to talk to their children early and often about waiting to have sex until marriage. Each HAC provides the Parents Speak Up Workshops, which are available in English and Spanish, and conducts an annual Fiesta Nite event for parents and their preteens and teens.
