Parents Speak Up
Positive Impact

YOU can have a positive impact in the life of your kids. We tend to think that teens ignore our advice or what we have to say. Sometimes it sure seems like they do. But they’ll listen if we speak up. Research shows that parents have the greatest influence on their children when it comes to sexual decisions. Not their friends. Not the media. Your involvement and guidance is essential to help them avoid the physical, psychological, and emotional risks of early sexual activity.

We know it’s a difficult subject, but someone has to do it. The Parents Speak Up National Campaign is an excellent opportunity to empower and educate parents and communities to talk to pre-teens and teens about the importance of waiting to have sex.  Don’t wait any longer. Talk to your kids, share your values, and express you expectations clearly. Tell them you want them to wait to have sex so they can have a better chance at success and happiness.
