Mom / Dad,

I need you to be…

MY TEACHER, to gain the knowledge I will need in life.

MY ADVISER, who will listen and guide me when I need to make wise choices.

MY BEST FRIEND, to walk together on the path of success.

THE BEST EXAMPLE, of how life should be lived.

Because the best lessons for life are taught at home.

Parents Speak Up

In an effort to help parents talk to their children early and often about waiting to have sex, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has launched the Parents Speak Up National Campaign. The campaign empowers parents by providing them the tools necessary to effectively communicate the benefits of abstinence until marriage. Additional information may be found at www.4parents.gov. If you'd like to attend an educational parent workshop in your community about how to talk to your kids about sex and other family related topics call 1-888-MIS HIJOS.
